The Best Places to Dance Kizomba in Paris, France

Where to dance Kizomba in Paris, France

Welcome to the Kizomba Embassy!  Many people have been inquiring about the best places to dance Kizomba in Paris and if dancing is currently authorized.

Well, I just returned from a trip to Paris, France and I was able to attend multiple Kizomba dance events, classes, and the Eiffel Tower Kizomba Festival.

Paris is a beautiful city known as the city of lights. It is also a wonderful location to dance Kizomba, especially Urban Kiz and Kizomba Fusion.

The level and skill of the Kizomba dancers in Paris is very advanced given the large number of expert dance instructors in the area.

Currently, the dance scene is slowly returning to where it was before the pandemic started. All you need is a vaccine certificate to enter these parties and nightclubs.

For non-EU visitors, I recommend requesting your digital vaccine certificate from the French Government here before traveling to Paris.  Please note that you have about a 50/50 chance of getting it before your trip.

I applied twice and never even received a response to my emails while a friend was able to get an immediate response and digital certificate.

I strongly recommend photocopying your vaccination card and placing a copy in a plastic sleeve for protection.  You can get these vaccination card plastic sleeves on Amazon or at your nearest pharmacy.

I made three copies of my vaccination card and kept them in these plastic sleeves for protection.  They worked great not only for the Kizomba dance parties but also for all bars, restaurants, and shopping centers.

Here are my recommendations for the best places to dance Kizomba in Paris and the surrounding areas.

Let’s Play Kizomba events by Jojo & Jenny!

This Monday night party is a little outside of Paris but it is a fantastic event with one of the top Kizomba Dancers worldwide.

Kizomba Embassy Ambassador Jojo and his lovely dance partner Jenny are in charge of this event and it is extremely popular with kizomba dancers in Paris.

This party has a great atmosphere with world-renowned Kizomba Instructors such as Enah, Azzedine, and Jojo. It also features multiple popular Kizomba DJs.

The beginners class begins at 8:30 pm and the Intermediate class starts at 09:30 pm.  The party starts around 10:30 pm until 02:00 am. The cover is 12 euros and includes a drink.

The current address is 4 Rue du Fort de la Briche, 93200 Saint-Denis, France.

Be sure to check out the Facebook page for updates and any changes to the party location.

On Tuesday nights the place to be is Saida, which is now located in the Aubervilliers suburb of Paris.

This isn’t a nightclub but a dance school in a local neighborhood. Kizomba dance classes are again led by world-renown Kizomba instructors such as Kizomba Embassy Ambassadors Val’r & Steffy, or Georges & Laura, etc.

The beginner Kizomba dance class starts at 8:30 pm and the intermediate class starts at 9:30 pm. The party starts around 10:30 pm and by 11 pm the place is packed with dancers.  The cover is around 10 euros depending on your time of arrival.

The new address for Saida as of March 2022 is 43-45 rue de la haie cock 93300 aubervilliers. Remember to check out their Facebook page for the latest updates!

If you are taking the Paris Metro make sure to visit their Facebook page as directions are challenging for foreign visitors.  A good option would be to take the Metro to a nearby station and then take a Taxi.

Once again, a Covid-19 vaccination card or digital certificate is required for entry.

On Thursday nights during the warmer weather months, the hottest Kizomba dance party is Libertalia.

Here you will find many of the top Kizomba Artists from Paris to include Felician & Isabella, Jojo, Curtis, Laurent, and Enah.

This lounge is on the Seine river and has beautiful views at night. The parties normally go until 0200am.  It has both an inside and outside area and is very popular with visiting kizomba dancers from the USA and Asia.

Libertalia Lounge is located just outside the city center at the Quai N ° 6 Jean Compagnon 94200 Ivry Sur Seine.

I suggest taking an Uber or taxi to and from the lounge as there aren’t any nearby metro stations.

The Eiffel Tower Kizomba Festival

The Eiffel Tower Kizomba Festival is organized each year by the one and only Echo Ogna. This festival is very popular and is held every August in Paris near the Eiffel Tower.

Echo does a fantastic job of bringing in a variety of artists, Dj’s and music, which results in a well-received weekend event.  Whether you dance Urban Kiz, Kiz fusion, or Traditional Kizomba and Semba you will enjoy this festival.

This year the festival was held from August 13th to the 16th.  Many of the events were held in the festival hotel Yooma, which is located in the 15th Arrondissement of Paris.

On Saturday all dance classes and parties were held aboard a boat on the Seine river.  Without a doubt, Saturday’s boat parties were the highlight of the festival.

If you get a chance to visit Paris next August make sure that you don’t miss this special Kizomba Festival.

Check out the Kizomba Embassy Festivals Calendar here for the latest up-to-date information on Kizomba Festivals worldwide.

  1. Hi Brian,
Thank you for the article. Would be great if you could mention which of these parties are Urban kiz/fusion, which are kizomba.
Some people prefer a certain style. Would be great to know which one is which.
One of the greatest authentic Kizomba parties in Paris I know if of, is “Back to Basic”, for example.

    1. Hi Elena,

You made a good point! Some of the events are hosted by different Dj’s so it really depends on the night.
For example, at Saida, they played Urban Kiz, Kiz Fusion, Traditional Kizomba, and Semba throughout the night.
At the Eiffel Tower Kizomba Festival, the DJs did a great job of playing Urban Kiz, Kiz Fusion, Traditional Kizomba, Semba, etc.
For both LPK & Libertalia I would say they were more Urban Kiz and Kiz fusion.
I will try to add this information in the next update.

      Thanks for your comment!

  2. Hi Brian!
    Thanks for a great article!
One question, did you find anything on wednesdays? I’m looking for something to start off with before the tarraxofestival which begins on a thursday. Now that Kao Suey is not there I don’t know where to look.

    Kind regards,

    1. Hi Anna,

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find any places to dance Kizomba on Wednesday nights. You might want to reach out to Echo Ogna on Facebook and see if he has any recommendations for you. He is the organizer for the Eiffel Tower Kizomba Festival and another Kizomba Festival in Paris. Enjoy the Tarraxo Festival next month!

  3. Brilliant intel, thanks Brian.

Do you know of any DAYTIME Kizomba dancing in Paris?
Indoors, at a park, classes, practice, doesn’t matter.
Especially during the spring: May and beyond…

    1. Thanks, I am not aware of any daytime Kizomba events in Paris. Most of the dancing outdoors at the main square areas that I saw was Salsa and Bachata. Hopefully, Paris will have some new Kizomba daytime events next summer!

  4. Hi Brian,
Thank you for your good reportage.
Did you find anything for Friday or Saturday or Sunday in Central Paris?
We are going February 18-21 then flying to Benin for West African Kizomba Festival and then return to Paris March 1-4, so we have some good opportunities to dance.
    Thanks ,

    1. Hi Suzanne,
Unfortunately, I didn’t find any good spots to dance Kizomba on the weekends.
Have a good trip and let me know if you find any new places to dance.
